The mandate was to fuse home audio with holographic technology and develop a product with a compelling value proposition.
This required analyzing market trends, studying emerging technologies, assessing demand, and evaluating the product's closest alternatives. Immersive research into the world of the Harman Kardon persona helped distinguish the product from other brands in the Harman portfolio (JBL, AKG, Mark Levinson, and Infinity).
After we confirmed a target retail price, I collaborated with designers to create 3D renders and a working prototype. I coordinated with technology providers and material suppliers to develop a Bill of Materials, resulting in a cost per unit below 25% of the target price.
The final business proposal to Harman’s executive team detailed the product concept, market strategy, and financial projections proposing a 40% profit margin.
