AIA was restructuring its HR organization and transitioning from its legacy systems to Workday. A lot was going to change across the client's 17 APAC operating regions. This called for a new Employee Portal (powered by ServiceNow), allowing direct access to HR policies, forms, service requests.
The challenge extended beyond designing a mere portal, as each region had its own people management methodologies and policies to accommodate. The portal had to adapt for each regional nuance, while still maintaining a unified company-wide platform. Post-launch, we ran intensive training and onboarding sessions with the HR executives of each region (and their teams) to prepare for this self-service transition.
After adoption, AIA's HR team got to focus more on strategic tasks, as routine operations were largely automated.
